Headline-8-car pileup slowed North Freeway

An 8-car pileup Monday morning slowed traffic on Interstate 45 in north Houston.

The crash happened about 6 a.m. on the inbound North Freeway near Gulf Bank, according to Houston TranStar.

No information was available about possible injuries or what caused the wreck.

The crash forced officials to briefly block two lanes while crews cleared the scene. The lanes reopened in about 30 minutes.
